Terms & Conditions
Please review these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Style Hutt Studio. By accessing or using any part of this website, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, you may not use our services.
All Hires:
- All hire fees are non-refundable.
- Collection and return dates for garments are determined by the business and may be subject to change.
- All garments must be returned by the date specified by the business.
- A $30 late fee per day will be charged for any garment returned past the agreed date.
- If we cannot fulfil your hire due to damages, delays in postage, theft or any other unforeseen circumstances which restricts Style Hutt from issuing your hire, you will be offered a store credit only.
Delays & Non-Returns:
- If a previous customer returns an item late or our dry-cleaning partner experiences delays, you may be required to collect your hire on the day of your event. This is non-negotiable.
- If a garment is more than five days late and no contact has been made, your credit card will be charged the full retail price (RRP) of the item.
- If a late return affects another booking, you will be charged a full hire fee in addition to any other associated costs.
Garment Condition & Return Requirements:
- Due to the nature of our business, hired garments may show signs of general wear and tear. While we strive to maintain them in excellent condition, some imperfections may be present.
- All garments must be returned with the original garment bag and coat hanger. Failure to do so will result in a $10 fee per missing item.
Cancellations & Credits:
- All hire fees are non-refundable.
- In certain circumstances (e.g., illness or event cancellation), a 6-month credit note may be issued at our discretion.
- No credit notes will be provided for cancellations made less than 14 days before the booking date.
- Hire credits are only valid for future garment hires and cannot be used for retail purchases.
Damage & Soiled Garments:
- If your garment is lost, stolen, or returned damaged (e.g., ripped fabric, broken zips, frayed edges, pulled threads, seam splits, fabric balling), you are responsible for covering the cost of repairs or replacement.
- Avoid wearing abrasive items that may damage the fabric, such as sharp rings, bangles, sequin bags, studded or beaded accessories.
Damaged or Soiled Garments from a Previous Hire:
- If your booked garment was damaged or heavily soiled by a previous customer and is unavailable, Style Hutt is not required to issue a refund.
- However, we will gladly provide a credit note or offer an alternative style for you to wear.
Cleaning & Additional Charges:
- Do not attempt to wash or clean the garment. Your hire fee includes professional cleaning, and improper washing (e.g., water stains) can cause permanent damage.
- If your garment is returned wet, an additional $30 dry cleaning fee will be charged.
- If the garment cannot be restored to a wearable condition after cleaning or repairs, you must cover the replacement cost.
- If the item is sold out and cannot be replaced, you will be charged the full RRP of the garment.
- The decision on whether a garment is wearable or completely damaged is at the discretion of Style Hutt staff.
Specific Cleaning Fees:
- If the garment is returned soiled with vomit or blood, a $30 disinfectant and antibacterial cleaning fee will be applied immediately.
- If the garment is heavily soiled with fake tan, you will be required to cover every additional dry clean until it is restored to its original condition ($30 per clean).
We ask that you treat our garments with care and respect, as if they were your own.
Interstate and postage Hires:
- All interstate and posted hires must be posted back by 12 PM on the Monday following your event unless its a public holiday, therefore the next business day is appropriate.
- Garments must be taken directly to an Australia Post office to be scanned in as proof of postage.
- If your garment is not posted on time or is placed in a post box, a $30 late fee will be automatically charged unless you can provide proof of timely postage.
Late Returns & Additional Fees:
- If you fail to return your garment on time and it impacts another customer’s booking, you will be charged an additional hire fee, which will be debited from your credit card.
Postal Delays & Refunds:
- We do not offer refunds if your garment does not arrive on time.
- All postal bookings are at the customer’s risk. If your item does not arrive, we will issue a hire fee credit only—postage costs are non-refundable.
- If you live in a location that does not guarantee one business day express postage, you must inform us. We base all our hires on the Australia Post Express '1 business day guarantee'. If this guarantee does not apply to you in your location, we will not take responsibility if your hire does not arrive in time. It is best to inform immediately, so that we can arrange to post your hire earlier if possible or book out additional time between hires. Alternative options will be sought if we cannot fulfil your request, however no refunds will be given only a hire fee credits.
Purchase of Retail Products:
- All purchases, whether made in-store or online, are non-refundable.
- We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits on sale items.
We will endeavour to inform you of any possible changes or delays to your upcoming hire as soon as possible, however due to damages, delays in postage, theft, staff personal leave and other unforeseen circumstances, we cannot always do so. We will always attempt to work with you to find a solution or offer a store credit if applicable with the terms and conditions.
Style Hutt Studio reserves the right to take all steps necessary to collect amounts due from you, including but not limited to; legal action and/or using third party collection agencies. You are liable for the cost of the Garment + any costs incurred by Style Hutt Studio to recover money from you should the Garment not be returned in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
