Terms & Conditions

By providing us with a written acknowledgment to the following, you are agreeing to comply with our terms and conditions.

 

All Hires:

  • All hire fees are non-refundable.  
  • Your garment collection and return day will be determined by the needs of the business and is subject to change.
  • All garments are to be returned to the store by midnight Sunday, via our return chute which is located at the front entrance of our shop. (This is open 24/7)
  • If your garment is not returned by midnight Sunday, a $30 late fee will be charged for every day it is late.
  • In circumstances where the business requires an earlier return (prior to Sunday), your hire must be returned by the requested day and time.
  • In the event where your hire has been returned late by another customer or our dry cleaning partner is running behind, we may ask you to collect your hire on the day of your event. This cannot be helped and is not negotiable.
  • In the event that the item is not returned (more than 5 days late), and you have made no attempt to contact the store, your credit card will be charged with the full RRP of the booked garment.
  • If your garment has not be returned by the requested time and impacts another booking, you will be charged a full hire fee as well as any additional costs associated.
  • The customer acknowledges that due to the nature of our business, garments hired from us, may not be in their original condition. Whilst we do our best to keep our garments in good condition, there will likely be general wear and tear.
  • Your garment must be returned with the original garment bag and coat hanger. If these are not returned, a fee of $10 per item will be charged.
  • If you choose to add on insurance to your booking, this covers minor repairs only. (Minor repairs include- small seam tears, hook and eye replacement, buttons, etc.)

** All bookings for formal events will have an additional $20 insurance cover added to their booking. This is compulsory and covers the customer for 1 additional clean. This is a non-refundable charge.

 

Cancellations/Credits:

  • All hire fee’s are non-refundable.
  • We do not refund or credit on late cancellations. (Within 14 days notice)
  • We do not refund or credit for change of mind, circumstances in which someone has bought the same dress as you or if you have found another dress elsewhere.
  • In some circumstances (sickness, event cancellation), we may issue a 3 month credit but this is on a case by case basis.
  • If you change your mind and want to simply swap your hire for another garment, we require a minimum 8 weeks notice for formal dresses and 2 weeks notice for cocktail.
  • In the event that we have specifically ordered in a dress for you and you choose to cancel your booking, we will not provide a credit or refund.
  • Hire credits can only be used on other hires, not on retail sales.
  • Once a credit is used to book in another garment, the booking is final and cannot be cancelled or swapped for another credit.
  • If your event is cancelled due to Covid, we will issue you with a 3 month credit or swap your dress hire to another date. This will be issued once the customer has provided an event cancellation confirmation or a positive covid PCR result.

 

Damage/Soiled garments:

  • If your garment gets lost, stolen or returned damaged (ripped, broken zip, frayed, pulls on fabric, seam split, balling to fabric etc) you are responsible to pay for damages, whatever they may be. ** Please note- we recommend not wearing anything abrasive that can cause damage to our fabrics- this includes sharp rings/bangles, sequin bags, studded or beaded accessories etc
  • In the event where you badly damage or soil a garment, and that same garment is booked the following week, resulting in it being unable to be worn by the next customer- you will be liable to pay an additional hire fee which will be charged to your credit card.
  • In the event where your garment has been hired the week prior to your event, and has been returned damaged or heavily soiled, Style Hutt is not required to refund you. We will however, happily issue a credit or find you an alternate style to wear.
  • Do not attempt to wash or clean your garment, your hire cost includes professional cleaning. Sometimes, water can set stains which results in damaging the fabric. If your dress is returned wet, we will automatically charge an additional dry cleaning fee of $30.
  • In the event that the garment is not in a wearable condition, even after dry cleaning or repairs, the customer is responsible to cover the cost of a replacement. If the garment is a sold out style and cannot be replaced, the customer will be charged the full RRP of the garment. What is considered 'wearable' or 'completely damaged' is up to the discretion of the Style Hutt staff.
  • If the garment is returned soiled with vomit, $30 will be charged immediately, to cover an additional disinfectant and antibacterial clean. We ask that you respect our garments and treat them as they were your own.
  • If your garment is returned heavily soiled with fake tan, you will be required to pay for every additional dry clean until it is returned to its original state. ($30 per clean)

Interstate hires:

  • Any garments booked interstate will need to be posted back the following Monday after your hire by 12pm. The garment needs to be put into a yellow express post box or taken into your nearest Post Office. If your garment is not posted by this time or not put in the correct post box, a $30 late fee will be automatically charged. (Unless you can provide proof that your garment was posted on time)
  • In the event where you fail to post your garment back on time, and that same dress is booked to another customer the following week, resulting in the next customer not being able to wear the garment- you will be liable to pay an additional hire fee which will be charged to your credit card.
  • We do not refund if you garment does not arrive in time. All postal bookings are at the risk of the customer. If your item doesn’t arrive, we are happy to credit the hire fee only. Posting costs are non-refundable.

Purchase of retail products:

  • All purchases made in store or online are non refundable. 
  • We do not refund, exchange or apply credits to any purchases made on sale items.
